French LNG containment tank specialist, GTT, received a new order for a liquefied natural gas tank design for one tanker.

The order was placed by the South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI), GTT said.

The vessel with a capacity to transport up to 174,000 cubic meters of the chilled fuel is being built for an Asian shipowner.

The delivery is expected in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The tanks of the vessel will be equipped with the Mark III Flex containment system, that has been “selected to equip almost 90 ships since its launch,” GTT’s CEO chairman and CEO Philippe Berterottière said.

Earlier this month, HSHI placed an order for two Mark III Flex containment systems for LNG carriers being build for a European shipowner.
