Eidesvik has secured contract extensions for two of its vessels, the Viking Neptun subsea construction vessel and Acergy Viking service operation vessel (SOV).
Viking Neptun will continue working for Merkur Offshore until mid May with further optional extensions.
Viking Neptun was contracted in September by Merkur Offshore GmbH for support work in the offshore wind market.
Furthermore, the contract with Siemens Gamesa for the charter of Acergy Viking SOV has been extended with one additional year.
The contract is now firm until end January 2021 with options until end April.
The Acergy Viking was previously a survey vessel, but after remodeling it was converted into a so-called wind farm support/light construction vessel.
