The ITW brand Densit has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Taiwanese company Vestech to jointly work on the development of offshore wind in Taiwan.

According to Densit, the agreement is the first step to combining its experience in the European offshore wind industry and Vestech’s experience in sustainable energy projects in and around Taiwan.

“The MoU is just the first step of our future collaboration with Vestech and efforts in the Taiwanese wind sector. We will look to creating a local content plan together with Vestech and expand our hard work here in Taiwan,” said Sarah Hobson , Offshore Sales Manager ITW Performance Polymers.

The two companies said they had been working together for years on wear and abrasion solutions in Taiwan and the MoU was a natural next step in an already strong working relationship.

They emphasized the aim is to become a strong partner for Taiwanese offshore wind projects and help accomplish Taiwan’s target of reaching 5.5GW of offshore wind by 2025.
