Ørsted has contracted CPower Energy to provide personnel for its offshore wind projects in the Netherlands.

Under the five-year contract, CPower will supply the full range of personnel, from project managers to high voltage engineers, client representatives, administrative staff, site technicians and general engineers.

The UK-based company will initially work for the Borssele 1 and 2 offshore wind project.

“The Dutch renewables market is booming, with Ørsted one of the most prominent worldwide players,” said Peter Jorgensen , Managing Director of CPower Energy. “ The project will provide us with a fantastic opportunity to help create and shape some of the world’s leading renewables projects and allow us to cement our growing reputation as an extremely knowledgeable and easy-to-work-with service provider.”

The Borssele 1 and 2 project will comprise 94 Siemens Gamesa 8MW turbines located 22km from the coast of the Dutch province of Zeeland.

The 752MW offshore wind farm is planned to be fully commissioned by the end of 2020.
