Frontera and MDL Net Cable Deal Offshore Mexico

Frontera, in cooperation with Maritime Developments Ltd. (MDL), has secured cable lay scope from Sapura Energy for Eni Amoca Miztón project offshore Mexico. Frontera, in cooperation with Maritime Developments Ltd. (MDL), has secured cable lay scope from Sapura Energy for Eni Amoca Miztón project offshore Mexico.

The contract is due to begin in March 2019, Frontera informed.

The Frontera-MDL scope includes provision and operation of the cable lay equipment spread, which features MDL’s modular tensioning system and related equipment.

“ This is an exciting project for Frontera and the culmination of lots of hard work promoting the Frontera-MDL capabilities in the Mexican offshore market. In addition, it is the first project of its kind in Mexico, whereby client’s vessel will be outfitted with a modular cable lay equipment spread, ” Frontera CEO, Brad McNeill.

The companies did not disclose the value of the contract.
