SubseaPartner Scores Goliat Work

Norwegian diving contractor SubseaPartner has been awarded a new contract by Var Energi, operator of the Goliat field in the Barents Sea. Norwegian diving contractor SubseaPartner has been awarded a new contract by Var Energi, operator of the Goliat field in the Barents Sea.

The engineering and installation project work scope incorporates a 24 hours air diving operation on the FPSO’s fairleads. Project management and engineering work has already begun from the SubseaPartner headquarter in Haugesund.

The Light Diving Craft; LDC Venturer is selected for the operation. It is one out of two crafts utilized for field support and the second newbuild in SubseaPartner fleet.

The offshore activities are scheduled to take place during the summer of 2019.

“ This contract award by Var Energi puts us to be a new player offshore, ranging through the water column from surface to seabed. Our enhanced competence for floating, storage and production units are the main reason for shaping our prime market position. The contract outlines this market segment and we‘re pleased to serve the contract with our ability to design the right engineering solutions that ensures a safe, effective and cost-efficient project delivery ,” said Ole Molten Skogldnd chief commercial officer.
