Norwegian oil and gas company Equinor has hired Simon Mokster’s Stril Pioner supply vessel on a four-month firm contract.
According to the shipowner, apart from the firm contract, Equinor will have three two-month options to extend the contract further.
Simon Møkster said the contract was expected to start in the second quarter of 2019. The Stril Pioner was one of the first gas-fueled supply vessels in the North Sea, delivered in July 2003.
The Stril Pioner is a large platform supply vessel (PSV) of a VS-4403(LNG) design. It is 95 meters long and 20,4m wide with deadweight (DWT) of more than 6000t.
