37 out of 102 jacket foundations have been installed at the East Anglia One offshore wind farm in the UK, according to Iberdrola.

The installation of the piles for the 102 turbines has been completed, while the rest of the jackets are expected to be in place in the third quarter of the year.

According to Iberdrola, the works at the onshore substation in Bramford are now drawing to a close, while the manufacture and installation of the first cable for the offshore substation has been finalized. The installation of the second cable is planned for the summer.

The installation of the first turbines, as well as first power, is expected to begin at the end of the second quarter of the year.

Located 45km offshore Lowestoft, the 714MW East Anglia One wind farm will comprise 7MW Siemens Gamesa turbines expected to be fully operational in 2020.
