Fluxys LNG said the subscription window for the unloading slots and additional storage services at the Zeebrugge LNG terminal is open.

The company noted that the window is open from April 30 to May 24, 2019, allowing market participants to book capacity at the LNG terminal.

The subscription window has been opened in response to market signals indicating interest in LNG terminal capacity as gas import needs in Northwest Europe are set to rise significantly.

As it goes, gas production in The Netherlands and the North Sea is declining, while gas demand for power generation will increase to accommodate the phase-out of sizeable coal, lignite and nuclear power generation capacity in the region, Fluxys said.

During the subscription window, unloading slots and additional storage services at the Zeebrugge LNG terminal are offered over subsequent periods up to 2044.
