REN-operated Sines LNG import terminal in Portugal is set to receive two cargoes of liquefied natural gas in the first days of May.
According to the Port of Sines shipping data, the first cargo is scheduled to dock at the facility on May 2. The 165,500-cbm LNG tanker Meridian Spirit lifted the cargo at Cheniere’s Sabine Pass natural gas liquefaction and export facility in Louisiana.
The second cargo is being transported onboard the 145,842-cbm LNG Oyo. The tanker loaded the chilled fuel at the Nigeria LNG facility on Bonny island and is scheduled to arrive in Portugal on May 6.
Sines LNG terminal, located on Portugal’s Atlantic coast, has a nominal send out capacity of 600,000 cubic meters per hour (5.26 bcm per year), with a peak capacity of 900,000 cubic meters per hour.
