JDR Services has completed the termination and testing of array cables on Ørsted’s Hornsea Project One East Section.

JDR Services offshore management team and technicians have now moved on to the final phase, which will see JDR focusing on the completion of the West section of Hornsea One, the company said.

The project is located 120 kilometers off the Yorkshire Coast and will consist of 174 Siemens Gamesa 7MW turbines.

UK-based JDR Cables, owned by the TFKable Group, also won a multi-million pound contract to supply inter-array cables and termination work for Ørsted’s offshore wind farm Hornsea Project Two .

The contract includes 100 kilometers of inter-array cables, all to be assembled in JDR’s Hartlepool facility.
