China Huaneng Group and the Jiangsu Province have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop an offshore wind base in this Chinese province.
The two parties have committed to jointly investing CNY 160 billion (EUR 20.7 billion) to build the Huaneng Jiangsu offshore wind base which will integrate all of the project development cycles including research and development, manufacturing, construction, and operations and maintenance.
The aim of the agreement is to accelerate the development of offshore wind projects in the province and strengthen the local supply chain.
China Huaneng Group is the owner and operator of the 300MW Huaneng Rudong offshore wind farm. The project, built offshore the Jiangsu Province, came online in September 2017.
