The Army Corps’ Portland District has awarded J.E. McAmis a contract for maintenance dredging works along the Oregon and Washington coasts.
According to J.E. McAmis, the contract includes dredging of the Port Orford, Charleston Harbor, Winchester Bay, Baker Bay, Skipanon River and Astoria Turning Basin.
Port Orford is located in Curry County, Oregon. The anticipated scope at this site will include dredging and placement of approximately 35,000 cubic yards of material with placement in 404 nearshore site. The environmental in-water work window is 01 May through 31 October.
Charleston Harbor is located in Coos County, Oregon. The anticipated scope at this site will include dredging and placement of approximately 40,000 cubic yards of material with placement in Site F-OS. The environmental in-water work window is 28 June through 31 October.
Winchester Bay is located in Douglas County, Oregon. The anticipated scope at this site will include dredging and placement of approximately 25,000 cubic yards of material with placement in ODMDS. The environmental in-water work window is 1 July through 31 October.
Baker Bay is located in Ilwaco, Pacific County, Washington. The anticipated scope at this site will include dredging and placement of approximately 85,000 cubic yards of material with placement in-water in the Columbia River within two to five miles (one-way). The environmental in-water work window is 01 August through 15 December.
Skipanon River is located in Clatsop County, Oregon. The anticipated scope at this site will include dredging and placement of approximately 20,000 cubic yards of material with placement in-water in the Columbia River within two to five miles (one-way). The environmental in-water work window is 01 August through 15 December.
Astoria Turning Basin is located in Clatsop County, Oregon. The anticipated scope at this site will include dredging and placement of approximately 15,000 cubic yards of material with placement W-10.4-IW; < 3 miles. The environmental in-water work window is 1 June 2019 through 15 December, however, all work must be completed prior to 1 November.
