Germany-based dry bulk carrier owner and operator Oldendorff Carriers has purchased a Post Panamax unit from Noble Group’s subsidiary Asia Rainbow International Limited.

The vessel in question is the former Ocean Ruby, which has been renamed Caroline Oldendorff following delivery, according to VesselsValue data.

Noble Group said the 2010-built ship was sold for USD 13.2 million, noting that net proceeds from the disposal, after deducting broker and address commission were USD 12.87 million.

The 92,500 dwt Caroline Oldendorff measures 230 meters in length and has a capacity of 110,300 cbm.

The sale of the former Ocean Ruby is part of Noble Group’s plan to sell off its bulker fleet after it completed a USD 3.5 billion restructuring in December 2018.

The commodities trader announced its plans to sell the vessels in April this year.
