Bibby HydroMap has appointed Gary Collins as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Collins, who took over the position on 1 July, will lead the business through its next phase of growth, as well as development into new territories, Bibby stated.
“I’m excited to be joining the Bibby HydroMap team and proud to be part of an organisation with such a significant heritage,” said Collins .
“Further to the solid growth at Bibby HydroMap over the last few years, and with my software background and experience in international business development, I believe Bibby HydroMap will be able to continue to grow in current markets, as well as expand into other new territories.”
Most recently, Collins held the position of Global Sales Director at OptaSense, a QinetiQ company, which deploys technology that uses acoustic sensing on pipelines, roads and borders to provide data to customers. He also held senior sales positions at Tyco, Honeywell and Rolls Royce.
Earlier this year, Bibby HydroMap conducted a demonstration of DriX, an 8m Autonomous Unmanned Survey Vessel (AUSV), at the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult facility in Blyth. The key purpose was to showcase DriX being used in the offshore renewables sector to capture essential information at all project stages.
