GTT set to design LNG tanks for Maran Gas carrier quartet

French liquefied natural gas containment system specialist, GTT has been contracted to provide tank design for four Maran Gas newbuilds.

French liquefied natural gas containment system specialist, GTT has been contracted to provide tank design for four Maran Gas newbuilds.

GTT said in a statement that the four liquefied natural gas carriers for the Greek shipowner are being built at South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME).

The vessels will have the capacity to transport 174,000 cubic meters of the chilled fuel.

GTT noted that the delivery of the quartet was scheduled between the end of 2021 and early 2022.

Last time GTT was contracted for designing tanks for Maran Gas newbuilds was in May this year .
