SeaBird closes acquisition of second BOA vessel

Seismic vessel operator SeaBird Exploration has completed the acquisition of the second vessel from Norwegian vessel owner BOA Offshore, the BOA Galatea. Seismic vessel operator SeaBird Exploration has completed the acquisition of the second vessel from Norwegian vessel owner BOA Offshore, the BOA Galatea.

SeaBird announced its intention to buy two vessels from BOA Offshore – the BOA Thalassa and BOA Galatea – back in April 2019 . The final agreement was reached in late May.

SeaBird closed the acquisition of the first vessel , BOA Thalassa, in June.

On Thursday, July 25 the company said it had closed the acquisition of BOA Galatea and issued 23,055,372 of new shares as part of consideration for the vessel.

Following issue of the new consideration shares, the company has 538,931,387 shares outstanding, each of par value $0.01.
