UK’s offshore regulator, the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA), has launched a restricted ‘Out of Round’ offer of two blocks 3/24c & 3/29c, around the Northern North Sea Rhum field.

The regulator said on Thursday that applications are to be made via the Petroleum License Applications Repository (LARRY) system on the Energy Portal and will follow the normal Licensing Round application process.

The LARRY system is the OGA’s License Application system which allows industry to submit and pay for license applications for new offshore and onshore licenses within the UKCS.

The offer is open for 90 days and will close at 2:00pm on October 30, 2019. Decisions are expected to be made in 4Q 2019, the regulator added.

The Rhum gas field is located in block 3/29a, 44km north of Bruce and is a subsea development tied back to the Bruce platform via an insulated pipeline.
