25 out of 33 MHI Vestas 8.4MW turbines have been installed at the Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm in Germany, according to Northland Power.

The company emphasized that the construction of the project is progressing according to schedule and is on budget.

Deutsche Bucht produced first power to the German grid at the end of July, when the first MHI Vestas turbine was commissioned.

31 of the MHI Vestas units will be installed on monopile foundations, with the remaining two to be installed on mono bucket foundations.

The 269MW offshore wind farm, located some 95km northwest of the Borkum Island, is expected to be commissioned by the end of the year.
