UK-based Tekmar Energy Limited has secured two contracts within Taiwan for the supply of its TEKLINK® cable protection system and associated accessories.

The combined value of the two contracts is circa GBP 4 million. Further details on the contracts will be provided in due course, Tekmar said.

The two contract awards have come in addition to Tekmar’s earlier contract wins in Taiwan for the Formosa 1 Phase 1 and the Formosa 1 Phase 2 .

”As we have highlighted, the Asia-Pacific offshore market is strategically important to Tekmar and Taiwan has high ambitions for offshore wind, targeting around 9GW of power by 2030. It’s worth noting that in 2018 Taiwan had no installed bases,” James Ritchie , CEO of Tekmar Group, said.

“These awards demonstrate our ability to secure and deliver to this emerging market and our commitment to the region as a whole.”
