Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s jack-up vessels have completed the installation of the first two turbines at the EnBW Albatros offshore wind project in the German North Sea.
According to the company, Blue Tern installed the first turbine this morning and a few hours later Brave Tern installed the second unit.
Albatros will comprise 16 Siemens SWT-7.0-154 type turbines located in conjunction with the neighboring Hohe See wind farm some 105km off the German coast.
The 112MW offshore wind farm, owned by EnBW, Enbridge, and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, is due to be completed later this year.
