Exmar, Anglo-Eastern set up LNG ship management JV

Belgium’s Exmar, the Nicolas Saverys-led shipowner, has formed a joint venture with Anglo-Eastern Univan Group that will focus on the third-party LNG ship management segment.

Belgium’s Exmar, the Nicolas Saverys-led shipowner, has formed a joint venture with Anglo-Eastern Univan Group that will focus on the third-party LNG ship management segment.

The joint venture named AEX LNG Management, will be based in Singapore provide newbuilding supervision and vessel management of LNG carriers for third-party owners.

According to Anglo-Eastern’s executive chairman Peter Cremers, the two companies aim to combine Exmar’s competencies in the LNG space with Anglo-Eastern’s crewing and training solutions.

Services will include newbuilding planning and supervision, ship management, crewing and training via Anglo-Eastern’s network of maritime training centers and simulators.
