The Whitsunday Regional Council has officially opened several major restoration projects following Ex-Tropical Cyclone Debbie.
These projects include the Conway Beach Seawall, Bowen Front Beach Sewall and the Inverdon Bridge in Bowen.
As reported, the recently completed seawalls have transformed the foreshore areas and will protect nearby homes during disaster season.
They will help protect the coastline from the effects of storm tide and extreme weather.
Reconstruction works have been jointly funded by the Commonwealth and Queensland Governments under the National Disaster Relief & Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA).
