U.S. LNG cargo set to arrive at South Hook terminal

The UK’s South Hook liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal is scheduled to receive a cargo of the chilled fuel from the U.S. over the coming weekend.

According to the Port of Milford Haven data, BW Lilac, a 173,400-cbm liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier, is scheduled to dock at the South Hook terminal’s jetty on Saturday, November 16.

The Port of Milford Haven stated that the LNG cargo was loaded at Dominion’s Cove Point terminal in Maryland, U.S.A.

Natural gas flows from the South Hook LNG terminal to the UK’s national grid on Tuesday was around 37.72 mcm per day, according to the data from the National Grid.

The South Hook LNG terminal, owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil, and Total, can provide around 20 percent of Britain’s natural gas requirements.
