CNOOC Limited has made a new discovery on the Glengorm prospect, located in offshore UK Central North Sea.

Norwegian oil company Aker BP has hit oil and gas at it its Froskelar Main exploration well in the North Sea offshore Norway.

After a string of discoveries in the past two years, ExxonMobil had made two additional discoveries offshore Guyana at the Tilapia-1 and Haimara-1 wells, bringing the total number of discoveries on the Stabroek Block to 12.

French oil company Total has made a significant gas condensate discovery at the Brulpadda prospect on Block 11B/12B offshore South Africa.

ExxonMobil has completed the drilling of the second exploration well in the Block 10 offshore Cyprus and has made a gas discovery, the government said on Thursday.

Thai oil and gas company PTTEP has made a gas and condensate discovery at the Orchid-1, the first exploration well in Permit AC/P54 located in the Timor Sea, Australia.

Italian oil company Eni has announced “a major oil discovery” in Block 15/06, in the Agogo exploration prospect, in Angola’s deep water.

Italian oil company Eni has made a new gas discovery under evaluation in the Nour exploration prospect located in the Nour North Sinai Concession, in the Eastern Egyptian Mediterranean, about 50 km North of the Sinai peninsula.

ExxonMobil has made a new oil discovery offshore Guyana at the Yellowtail-1 well, marking the 13th discovery on the Stabroek Block.
