Exports of liquefied natural gas from the United States’ facilities dropped over the week between January 9 and January 15.
According to the data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) shows that a total of 14 vessels departed from the export plants.
Out of the fourteen cargoes, seven were dispatched from Cheniere’s Sabine Pass LNG facility with two cargoes shipped from Corpus Christi, Cove Point and Cameron LNG plants each. The remaining cargo was shipped from the Freeport facility.
The fourteen vessels had a combined LNG-carrying capacity of 51 billion cubic feet.
EIA reminded that on December 30, 2019, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission issued an order authorizing the developers of Elba Island LNG facility in Georgia to “commence service for liquefaction and export activities from the Moveable Modular Liquefaction System No. 4.”
Elba Island LNG exported its first LNG cargo on December 13, 2019, and is in the process of commissioning the remaining Units 5 through 10 at the facility, scheduled to come online by mid-2020.
