The South Hook liquefied natural gas import facility on the Milford Haven waterway is set to accommodate one of the largest vessels in the global LNG tanker fleet.
The 263,300-cbm Al Ghuwairiya Q-Max LNG carrier is scheduled to deliver a cargo to the South Hook liquefied natural gas terminal on February 3, shipping data from the Milford Haven Port Authority shows.
The vessel wholly-owned by Nakilat and chartered by the world’s largest LNG producer, Qatargas. It was built in South Korea by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering and is under the management of Nakilat Shipping Qatar (NSQL).
Natural gas flows from the South Hook LNG terminal to the UK’s national grid on Tuesday was around 53.86 mcm per day, according to the data from the National Grid.
