LNG exports from the three liquefaction plants located on Curtis Island off Gladstone reached 1.98 million tons of LNG during the first month of 2020.
The volume was spread across 30 cargoes, data from the Gladstone Ports Corporation shows.
Compared to the previous month when 1.93 million tons of LNG have been exported from the three facilities, this represents a 2.6 percent increase.
Compared to the corresponding month in 2019, when 1.92 million tons of LNG was exported this represents a 2.7 percent increase.
China remains the top imported of the chilled fuel produced from the Gladstone LNG facilities with 1.37 million tons received in January. The remaining volumes landed in South Korea (289,032 tons), Malaysia (186,276 tons) and Japan (128,318 tons).
The LNG export plants located on Curtis Island include Shell’s Queensland Curtis LNG, Santos Gladstone LNG, and the ConocoPhillips-operated Australia Pacific LNG terminal.
