The South Hook liquefied natural terminal will receive a couple of Qatari LNG cargoes in the following days.
First of the two cargoes will arrive at the facility on April 25. The Q-Max Al Mayeda loaded the cargo at the Ras Laffan complex in Qatar. It is capable of transporting up to 266.000 cubic meters of the chilled fuel,
The second of the two cargoes is being transported onboard the Q-Flex LNG carrier Mesaimeer. The vessel is capable of transporting up to 216,312 cubic meters of the chilled fuel. It will dock at the South Hook facility on April 29.
Natural gas flows from the South Hook LNG terminal to the UK’s national grid on Thursday morning was around 58.86 mcm per day, according to the data from the National Grid.
The South Hook LNG terminal, owned by Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil, and Total, can provide around 20 percent of Britain’s natural gas requirements.
