Subsea Global Solutions (SGS) has entered into a new agreement with tanker operator Penfield Marine to provide underwater hull maintenance for their fleet.

The contract is the natural evolution of the existing successful relationship between the two companies.

As one of the leading tanker operators in the world with 54 tankers under its commercial management, Penfield Marine is committed to provide the best customer experience to their clients and pool partners.

Part of this commitment is to constantly improve the energy efficiency and clean hull practices across all their fleet with zero tolerance on protecting and preserving the marine environment.

Joe Gaudiano , fleet manager at Penfield Marine, said: “The decision to formalize our existing relationship with SGS under a multi-year global contract was a natural one, thanks to our ongoing successful partnership and their performance in maintaining our vessels’ hulls and critical underwater equipment in great shape. We look forward to working with SGS in the coming years.”

SGS executive director, Harun Duzgoren , stated: “We are delighted to be given the chance to support Penfield Marine’s fleet and contribute towards their operational and environmental goals.

“Our wholly owned local offices are situated in all the strategic shipping hubs that Penfield Marine’s fleet is calling regularly, which are backed up by a centralized / dedicated account management team focused on streamlining the service delivery. We look forward to the next phase of our cooperation.”
