Matrix nets EPC deal for LNG plant in western US

Tulsa-headquartered Matrix Service Company’s unit Matrix Service secured an EPC deal for an LNG plant in the western United States.

The engineering, procurement, and construction deal for the LNG facility was executed with a confidential utility, Matrix said in its statement.

The facility includes an LNG storage tank with a capacity of over 1 billion cubic meters.

It is being constructed to meet system reliability for the supply of natural gas to customers in a major metropolitan area and its surrounding counties.

Construction is expected to begin in the third quarter of calendar year 2020.

The new LNG facility is expected to be in-service in the fourth quarter of 2022.
