Dutch provider of offshore support vessels Vroon Offshore Services has secured contracts with Total’s UK entity for three emergency response and rescue vessels (ERRV).

Vroon said last week that the VOS Enterprise, VOS Prospector, and VOS Vigilant vessels would support Total E&P UK’s North Sea operations on the Dunbar, Culzean, and Elgin/Franklin Fields, respectively.

According to the company, the contracts, which will begin in June and July, are for an initial period of three years.

Vroon added that this multi-year, multi-vessel award extended its long-standing partnership with Total. It is worth noting that the company has provided Total with ERRV and platform supply vessel (PSV) services in the challenging environment of the North Sea for years.

“We are delighted that Total continues to place confidence in Vroon’s services and modern, versatile vessels. We look forward to continuing our successful collaboration in the coming years”, the company said.

“With a fleet of extremely fuel-efficient diesel-electric ERRVs, we are committed not only to contributing to safe and efficient operations but also to reducing our customers’ carbon footprints”.
