Norwegian offshore vessel provider Siem Offshore has been awarded contract extensions for three of its anchor handling tug and supply (AHTS) vessels in Australia.

Siem Offshore said on Wednesday that the extensions were for three large AHTS vessels and that it would secure work until October 2021 for all three vessels with options until the end of 2022.

It is worth adding that the company did not disclose which vessels won the extension nor the client. But, in its second-quarter financial report, Siem Offshore stated that it had five vessels in the region – three of which were anchor handlers.

Namely, Siem Sapphire , Siem Aquamarine , and Siem Amethyst were the three AHTS vessels working off Australia. The company 33 vessels in operation at the end of the quarter with ten of them being AHTS vessels.

In related company news, Siem Offshore was awarded two contracts last week for platform supply vessels (PSV) by French oil major Total for operations in Brazil.

The two PSVs in question were the Siem Atlas and Siem Giant vessels which were awarded two-year contracts with two yearly options.

Both vessels will start the contract in September 2020 in direct continuation of the present contract.
