UK-based Tekmar Energy has secured a new subsea cables protection contract on a ‘major’ operational offshore wind farm project.

The contract also includes work for Tekmar Energy’s sister companies Subsea Innovation and AgileTek Engineering.

The deal, which follows Pipeshield’s largest-ever contract win , has a value of over £4.5 million ($6.1 million).

Tekmar said it expects to deliver the contract in 2021.

The company has not disclosed any details regarding the client and the project.

In addition, Tekmar Energy recently scored a contract to supply subsea protection systems for a high-voltage grid transmission project in the Baltic Sea.

Specifically, the deal will see Tekmar deliver its TekLink CPS and TekDuct impact protection system for the project.

According to the company, products delivery should take place in the first quarter of 2021.
