NextDecade Corporation has appointed Brent E. Wahl as a chief financial officer.
Brent E. Wahl takes the new role in the company from 1 February 2021. Wahl replaces Benjamin A. Atkins .
Wahl, who has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry, previously served as the senior vice president, finance of NextDecade. Prior to joining the company in 2019, he was a senior managing director and head of midstream investment banking for North America at Macquarie. He also worked at J.P. Morgan and Bank of America.
Matt Schatzman , NextDecade’s chairman and the chief executive officer said: “Brent has made considerable contributions to NextDecade since joining the Company in 2019, and I know he will be an outstanding CFO that will help us to achieve a final investment decision at Rio Grande LNG in 2021”.
