Norway: February oil output slightly above NPD predictions

Norwegian oil production in February 2021 was just above predictions made by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD).

Norwegian oil production in February 2021 was just above predictions made by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD).

Preliminary production figures for February 2021 show an average daily production of 2,176,000 barrels of oil, NGL, and condensate.

Total gas sales were 9.0 billion Sm3 (GSm3), which is a decrease of 1.2 GSm3 from the previous month.

Average daily liquids production in February was: 1,792,000 barrels of oil, 371,000 barrels of NGL, and 13,000 barrels of condensate.

Oil production in February is 0.4 per cent higher than the NPD’s forecast , and 0.1 per cent higher than the forecast so far this year.

The total petroleum production for the first two months in 2021 is about 39.4 million Sm3 oil equivalents (MSm3 o.e.), broken down as follows: about 16.9 MSm3 o.e. of oil, about 3.3 MSm3 o.e. of NGL and condensate and about 19.2 MSm3 o.e. of gas for sale. The total volume is 0.4 MSm3 o.e. lower than in 2020.
