French liquefied natural gas containment specialist GTT has been contracted to design tanks for a trio of LNG carriers.
GTT informed on Monday the order had been placed by the South Korean shipyard Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI).
The three LNG carriers, being built for an unnamed Asian shipowner will have the capacity to transport up to 174,000 cubic meters of the chilled fuel.
The vessels will be fitted with the GTT Mark III Flex membrane technology, GTT said in its statement.
Deliveries of the vessels are scheduled between the second and third quarter of 2024.
