BGG holds LNG tank roof airlifting ceremony

Beijing Gas Group (BGG) has organised the roof airlifting ceremony of the first of ten LNG onshore storage tanks under construction for the Tianjin Nangang LNG terminal.

French liquefied natural gas (LNG) containment specialist GTT attended the roof airlifting ceremony held on 7 June 2021 in Tianjing, China.

Besides GTT, the event was also witnessed by the local authorities, the NDRC (National Development and Reform Commission), and other industry players.

Ten LNG storage tanks are being constructed as part of the Beijing Gas Group (BGG) Tianjin Nangang LNG regasification terminal. The ceremony was for the first LNG onshore storage tank of the ten.

The first tank is the 220,000 cubic metres membrane full containment. It incorporates the GST technology developed by GTT and is expected to be commissioned during the last quarter of 2022.
