Helix Robotics Solutions has secured a contract with Beacon Offshore for the subsea construction vessel Grand Canyon II.

Grand Canyon II will work on well severance and decommissioning work at an undisclosed project located in the Gulf of Thailand.

The contract was signed for 120 days firm, with additional options, Helix Robotics Solutions said.

The 128-meter long vessel is scheduled to commence work later this month.

Earlier this year, Beacon Offshore contracted Norway’s BOA OCV to provide subsea construction vessel BOA Deep C for work in the Gulf of Thailand.

The contract is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of the year, with the 119-meter vessel set to stay at the project until year end.
