Norway’s January oil output sinks below predictions

Norway’s oil production in January 2022 fell behind NPD’s predictions by 2.3 per cent, while the gas output also experienced a decrease.

Norway’s oil production in January 2022 fell behind the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate’s predictions by 2.3 per cent, while the gas output also experienced a decrease compared to figures from December.

Preliminary production figures for January 2022 show an average daily production of 1 968 000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate, based on the NPD’s report on Tuesday.

Total gas sales were 10.6 billion Sm 3 (GSm 3 ), which is a decrease of 0.4 GSm 3 from the previous month .

Average daily liquids production in January was: 1 736 000 barrels of oil, 223 000 barrels of NGL and 9 000 barrels of condensate.

Oil production in January is 2.3 per cent lower than the NPD’s forecast.

Production January 2022

The total petroleum production in January 2022 is about 20.3 million Sm 3 oil equivalents (MSm 3 o.e.), broken down as follows: about 8.6 MSm 3 o.e. of oil, about 1.1 MSm 3 o.e. of NGL and condensate and about 10.6 MSm 3 o.e. of gas for sale. The total volume is 0.4 MSm 3 o.e. lower than in December 2021.
