EIA: US weekly LNG exports climb by six LNGCs

Energy Information Administration (EIA) weekly report shows that LNG exports from the U.S. climbed this week by six vessels, followed by Henry Hub prices.

EIA: US weekly LNG exports climb by six LNGCs

Energy Information Administration (EIA) weekly report shows that LNG exports from the U.S. climbed this week by six vessels, followed by Henry Hub prices.

According to the latest Short-Term Energy Outlook from EIA, U.S. LNG exports increased for the period between 24 February and 2 March 2022 compared to the week before. Specifically, they are up by six vessels.

Twenty-four LNG vessels with a combined LNG-carrying capacity of 92 billion cubic feet departed the United States. Nine LNGCs were from Sabine Pass, five from Corpus Christi, three each from Cameron and Freeport, two from Cove Point, and one each from Elba Island and Calcasieu Pass .

The Henry Hub spot price rose from $4.57 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $4.65/MMBtu this week.

In addition, natural gas deliveries to U.S. LNG export facilities averaged 12.3 Bcf/d, or 0.4 Bcf/d higher than last week.
