According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) report, weekly LNG exports have decreased by one LNG carrier from last week, while the Henry Hub prices rose.
In the latest Short-Term Energy Outlook for the week between 2 June and 8 June, EIA reported that 22 LNG carriers departed the United States. This is one less than the last week in terms of weekly LNG exports.
Seven vessels departed from Sabine Pass, five from Freeport, four from Corpus Christi , three from Cameron, two from Calcasieu Pass, and one from Cove Point. They held a combined LNG-carrying capacity of 82 billion cubic feet.
The Henry Hub spot price rose from $8.42 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $9.46/MMBtu this week; the highest daily price since a winter storm contributed to near record-high spot prices in February 2021.
Natural gas deliveries to U.S. LNG export facilities fell slightly this report week, averaging 12Natural gas exports to Mexico decreased by 1.5% (0.1 Bcf/d).
