The 15th Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) in Amsterdam once again proved to be a great success: as always, the two-day exhibition offered exciting networking opportunities, knowledge sharing, presentations, workshops and a lot more.

Energy security, green hydrogen, human capital and floating wind were just some of the topics of this year’s OEEC 2022 conference program which contained 45+ hours of content, >140 guests and speakers and 1,905 online matches.

The event, which brought together over 400 exhibitors and more than 6,500 registered visitors at the Home of Energy Transition in RAI Amsterdam, was the meeting place for international clients, business leaders, industry experts, professionals and government representatives.

According to Coert van Zijll Langhout Managing Director Navingo BV , the company behind the OEEC, “ This was our most energy-diverse Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference so far, which is not surprising as the entire energy and maritime sectors are moving forward with more clean energy and sustainability solutions .”

The conference program offered a great variety of topics, from floating wind technology and the opportunities in offshore wind , and all the way across marine energy, oil and gas and maritime sectors.

The event also introduced ‘ The Executive Outlook ’ session where industry leaders talked about the future of offshore energy. The speakers of this session included Adam Middleton from Siemens Energy, Manon van Beek of TenneT, and Han Fennema of Gasunie.

One meeting that was particularly enjoyed by participants was the ‘ Future Proof ’ session, during which industry experts from the offshore energy sector shared their visions on the market and the future. Some difficult topics were on the table, including cyber security, sustainable implementation of hydrogen and nature enhancement and sustainable business decisions for the supply chain.

The conference also provided an opportunity for the industry players to forge new relationships and make new deals, like the one between Windcat Offshore and Damen . During the show, the two companies reached an agreement for the construction of a series of hydrogen-powered Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs).

The “Elevation Series” CSOVs have been designed by Damen Shipyards in cooperation with Windcat and CMB.TECH. The vessels will be built at Ha Long Shipyard, Vietnam, and will be delivered to Windcat Offshore, a new business unit within Windcat, which will focus on offshore energy commissioning and services.

Summarizing all mentioned above, we can conclude that the 15th Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) was one of a kind event dedicated to the renewable energy and clean fuel segments.

For those who missed out on the content program, all sessions have been recorded and are available On Demand .

The next Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference takes place on 28 & 29 November 2023.
