Baker Hughes’ weekly rig count report has revealed that the number of offshore rigs in the U.S. took a nosedive last week and fell by 3 units.
Following an increase in the number of offshore rigs to 19, Baker Hughes disclosed on Friday, 20 January 2023, that the number of rigs working in the U.S. went down to 16 units.
Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. down 4 to 771 rigs
U.S. Rig Count is down 4 from last week to 771 with oil rigs down 10 to 613, gas rigs up 6 to 156 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 2.
U.S. Rig Count is up 167 rigs from last year’s count of 604 with oil rigs up 122, gas rigs up 43 and miscellaneous up 2.
The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 3 to 16, down 2 year-over-year.
Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada is up 14 to 241 rigs.
Canada Rig Count is up 14 from last week to 241, with oil rigs up 12 to 153, gas rigs up 2 to 88.
Canada Rig Count is up 29 rigs from last year’s count of 212 with oil rigs up 19, gas rigs up 10.
