Brazilian oil and gas player Enauta has initiated a scheduled maintenance shutdown for a floating, production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel, which is currently working on a field offshore Brazil.
Enauta brought forward the preventive maintenance at the FPSO Petrojarl I process plant, previously scheduled to start in mid-May, kicking it off on 7 May 7 2023. As a result, the production at the Atlanta field was interrupted. The production is slated to be restored in June 2023.
With estimated reserves of 106 MMbbl, the Atlanta field is operated by Enauta Energia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, which also has a 100 per cent interest in this asset. Located in block BS-4 in the Santos Basin , at a 1,500-metre water depth, the field has been producing since 2018 through an Early Production System (EPS) – comprising three wells connected to the FPSO Petrojarl I.
However, the third well, 7-ATL-2HP-RJS, remained inoperative last month as it needs to have its pump replaced by a reserve pump. At the time, the Brazilian player outlined that the return to production was scheduled for the month of June, after the planned shutdown.
Furthermore, the company bought the FPSO OSX-2 for Atlanta’s Full Development System (FDS) last year. This FPSO, known as the FPSO Atlanta , which will replace the FPSO Petrojarl I, is anticipated to be fully operational by 2024. The FDS is expected to be online by mid-2024, originally with six wells , reaching ten wells in 2029 .
