TotalEnergies Denmark, a subsidiary of France’s energy giant TotalEnergies, has handed out a long-term deal to Denmark’s Semco Maritime for the provision of field support personnel for core crew and campaign positions in the Danish part of the North Sea.
This five-year support service contract was awarded to Semco Maritime on behalf of the Danish Underground Consortium (DUC), which is a joint venture involving TotalEnergies (43,2 per cent), BlueNord (36,8 per cent) and Nordsøfonden (20 per cent). TotalEnergies is the operator responsible for the exploration and operation of DUC’s 13 producing fields.
According to Semco Maritime, the contract will start in July 2023 and covers offshore positions for production operators, permit coordinator assistants, HSE supervisors, and laboratory technicians. The firm highlights that it has established a deep understanding of the Danish rules and regulations as well as the specific needs of TotalEnergies through a long-term partnership.

Furthermore, Semco Maritime’s resource pool consists of a large number of workers with first-hand experience working offshore on rigs and platforms. The understanding of local conditions and the long-term working relations between the two players provide “significant added value and ensure tangible synergies in this contract,” says the Danish firm.
The new contract comes months after another five-year manpower and construction service deal was secured with TotalEnergies in November 2022 and the ongoing redevelopment of the Tyra field.
