Bordelon Marine has renewed the charter agreement with Oceaneering for a Jones Act-compliant ultra-light intervention vessel for an additional two years.
The charter agreement renewal for MV Brandon Bordelon, which began in March, is for an additional two-year firm term plus a one-year additional option.
The vessel is mobilized with two Oceaneering Millennium Plus work-class remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) and survey equipment and technology.
According to Bordelon Marine, the vessel is typically used to conduct a variety of projects including ROV and diving support, pre-lay and post-lay mat installation, well abandonment and wireline services, hydrate remediation, subsea pumping, inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) as well as light construction and installation.
“We are very pleased and excited to renew this charter for another two years. Oceaneering is an excellent long term partner, and the vessel is ideally suited to support Oceaneering’s light subsea intervention and IMR scopes,” said Wes Bordelon , CEO of Bordelon Marine.
The two companies previously extended the charter for the vessel back in February 2022 for the duration of two years.
Regarding the most recent news coming from the company, DOF Group chartered a 2013-built ultra-light intervention vessel from Bordelon Marine in December 2023 for work in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.
