Norway’s Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) has been awarded a contract for a controlled-source electromagnetic (CSEM) survey in India, with an estimated value of approximately $10 million.
The letter of award (LOA) does not include a minimum scope of work and is contingent on the issuance of a callout order.
According to EMGS, the vessel Atlantic Guardian will undertake the survey once it concludes its ongoing survey in India. The final contract is expected to be executed in the coming weeks.
EMGS, a company in the marine electromagnetic market, employs proprietary electromagnetic (EM) technology to support oil and gas operators in identifying offshore hydrocarbon reserves.
The company integrates electromagnetic data with seismic and other geophysical datasets to enhance subsurface understanding during exploration.
