A big new order for comprehensive remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROV) solutions has landed on the Norway-based Kystdesign’s table. This ROV package will support two construction support vessels (CSV), which are part of a fleet belonging to an undisclosed client.
While disclosing a deal described as a landmark contract with a new unnamed international client, Kystdesign highlights that the order represents its “largest contract to date,” scheduled for delivery in Q4 2025.

No details have been provided about the value of the deal, which encompasses the supply of four work-class ROVs, including constructor and constructor compact models, along with launch and recovery systems (LARS), remote operating centers (ROC), additional spares, and extra equipment for two CSVs.
“This partnership marks the beginning of a promising collaboration, opening opportunities for future projects and strengthening our presence in the worldwide subsea industry. This contract positions Kystdesign for significant growth and increased marked shares in the coming years,” underscored the Norwegian player.
The new deal comes shortly after Kystdesign secured a job with the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ) for the construction of an advanced ROV that will serve the Dutch marine research community.
This follows the factory acceptance test (FAT) the firm and Omega Subsea finished a few months ago for two newly developed ROVs.
