Italy-headquartered marine geosciences and offshore construction support services provider Next Geosolutions (NextGeo) has signed a five-year framework agreement with French multi-energy major TotalEnergies for the provision of offshore investigation services.

According to NextGeo, the non-exclusive agreement covers global offshore projects and is aimed at enhancing process efficiency, standardizing contract practices, and supporting TotalEnergies’ geoscience campaigns through NextGeo’s operational and technical capabilities.

Work under the deal will be carried out using NextGeo’s offshore fleet. The agreement also enables the company to expand its presence in key global regions.

“Being awarded a long-term framework agreement by TotalEnergies represents a major milestone for our Company to seize new business opportunities. This agreement gives us the opportunity to further expand our international presence,” said Giovanni Ranieri , CEO of Next Geosolutions.

Just recently, NextGeo signed a sale and purchase agreement for the acquisition of 75.4% of the share capital of a compatriot subsea services company established in 1964, thereby expanding its operations into the Mediterranean and West African countries and broadening its range of services.
